Copdock Weekly Update 22/09/2023
Important Information to ShareHarvest Festival - We will be holding our annual harvest festival at Copdock Church on Thursday 28th September at 2:30pm - Parents/carers are welcome to join us for this celebration. Please send donations of tinned/packeted foods into school in the morning, we will be collecting these for local families in need. The children will be walking to the church after lunch so please ensure they have a coat. Please note ALL CHILDREN must be collected from the church at 3:15pm when the service finishes. Parking will be available at Copdock Hall. If your child is due to go to After School Club, please confirm to the office by Wednesday so that we can ensure they are brought back to school. MacMillan Coffee Event - On Friday afternoon we will be hosting our annual MacMillan Coffee event to raise funds for this fabulous charity. Families are welcome into school from 2:30pm for a donation of £2 for adults & 50p for children (this includes your refreshments). There will be a performance by each class. All school children will have a cake in their class following performances (allergies catered for). Please send a 50p donation in with your child on the day. If you would like to donate cakes, they will be gratefully received on Thursday and on Friday morning. Thank you in advance. Together we can make a difference :-) |
REMINDERS!!!! As the weather is becoming more autumnal, please ensure all children have a jumper/coat with them as we do encourage them outside during break time even with some drizzle - this will help to keep their shirts dry and comfortable for lessons.
Please ensure KS2 dinners are paid for either in cash or via the website in the week they are taken. Meals cost £2.50 per meal and can be paid in advance. Balances will not be allowed to go beyond 5 meals.
Foxes need packed lunches on Monday if they are attending guitar, KS2 children need packed lunches on Tuesdays if they are participating in Football club!

Every week we encourage parents to support their children to learn and use new vocabulary. In school we will be exploring the origin of new words, what they mean and how to use them effectively in context. If you can encourage your child to use these words it would be really helpful!
