Copdock Weekly Update 24/02/2023

Shared Learning

Thank you to all the parents, family and friends who came along this afternoon for our shared learning session.

School Spider

Thank you for your patience whilst we had issues with the school website.  School Spider have assured us that the issues have all been resolved and there should be no problems going forward.  Any payments made after 27th January up to the problems during the week before half term, were refunded.  If you have received a refund, you should also have received an invoice via the website for that amount.  Please ensure this has been paid before making any payments going forward.  This is evidently causing us a bit more work to reconcile dinners etc, therefore please bear with us whilst we update our records and re-confirm these payments before we are able to give you up to date figures of outstanding balances.  Thank you for your understanding.

St Joseph's College Arts Workshop

Foxes children are heading to St Joseph's College on Monday.  They need to arrive at school on time and wearing smart uniform.  The College will be providing lunch, but you are more than welcome to send a packed lunch if you prefer.  Children need to bring water with them.  There will be a performance at 2pm which parents are welcome to attend - please see the attached poster for more details.

Governors Open Day

On Tuesday we have an open day for Governors to come into school and work alongside the children.

World Book Day

Next Thursday is World Book Day.  We are NOT dressing up this year.  There will be an internal game for the children to enjoy called The Masked Reader.  If any parents would like to come into school to read a story, please contact the office.  There is a special menu on Thursday, it is not pre-order.  Please see attached.

Art Resources Requests

KS1 children (R-2) need off-cuts of wood for their woodwork bench.  Do parents know of anyone who could donate these?

Woodpeckers are looking for some items by Wednesday please - dried lentils/pulses, any pasta, natural objects such as dried seed pods, seed heads, conkers, cones, pot pouri and plastic take away tubs - if you can provide any, please send them in.

Newspaper Tokens

Don't forget to start collecting the Lego Tokens in the local press.  We have a box in the office for them to be posted into.  Thanks for your support.

WCET tickets

Foxes children will be attending a music festival on Monday 26th June.  If parents would like to attend the performance at the end of the day, tickets can be purchased here.
