Copdock Weekly Update 17/06/2022

Today we held a fire drill in school, as reward for some excellent evacuating, the children enjoyed some ice lollies on the field.  These were kindly donated by the PTA when they saw the weather forecast for today.  They were very much appreciated by all.  Thank you PTA.

School Photos

Don't forget on Tuesday to wear your smiles and smart uniform for your class photos.  You will need to bring your PE kit (& team coloured t-shirt), hat and plenty of water for the activities in the afternoon.

Sports Day

Parents are welcome to join us at 12pm for a picnic lunch - if you haven't pre-ordered, please ensure you send your child in with a packed lunch.  There will be no meals available to order on the day.  Please bring into school your coloured team shirt and PE kit to change into after photos.  As it's likely to be warm please ensure everyone has a hat, sun cream and plenty of water.

Thursday Lunch

Don't forget the menu will be different each Thursday to the end of term.  Our caterers are offering a grab & go alternative to the usual menu, although jackets are still available.  Next week is a margherita pizza or vegetarian enchilada & wedges, followed by fruit smoothie ice cream!

Crucial Crew

Foxes will be heading to The Mix on Thursday to learn about many aspects of safety.  We anticipate their return to be around 3:30pm and would therefore ask that all Foxes are collected from school on Thursday please.  The deadline for replies was today!

Inductions

Some of our year 6 children will be beginning aspects of their inductions with their new high schools from next week, whilst on Friday, our September starters will be joining us for their first induction session.  They will be coming in each Friday until their final session on 15th July when they'll be able to join us for lunch and a play outside (weather permitting).

Upcoming Events

We have lots of things going on between now and the end of term.  Please keep an eye on your emails and in particular the weekly news where a summary of events held for the next fortnight is at the bottom, and all details for the week ahead are included.  Please also be aware that some details may change as the time approaches.  It's really helpful if reply slips can be returned promptly please, but particularly by the deadline - this helps with our planning and risk assessing, and ensures everyone is able to participate.

2nd Hand Uniform

As we are coming to the end of another school year, don't forget you can donate your 2nd hand uniform as long as it is clean and still wearable.  Please bring it into school as and when you finish with it.  Also, 2nd hand uniform is always available for a donation throughout the year, not just at PTA events, just ask the office for more information.
