Change to Menu

Over the next few weeks there will be a change to the menu on Thursdays!  Next week the option will be Beef Burger or Vegetarian Sausage in a Bun served with Wedges, Crunchy Vegetable Sticks and Tomato Sauce followed by Rocky Road Krispie Bar.  This does not need to be pre-ordered, but can be ordered and paid for (KS2) on the day.

Raffle Tickets

Your eldest child at school has today received an envelope containing raffle tickets for the Summer Prize Draw.  Please see the posters around school for more details of the Copdock & Washbrook Community Fete.

Cricket

On Tuesday, some of our Foxes teamed up with Adders for a cricket tournament.  Having not done any cricket in school for a few years, they performed brilliantly!  Well done everyone.

Shared Learning

It was lovely to see so many families in school to share our learning this week.  We start our family sharing assemblies again next Friday.

Teddy Bear's Picnic

Today saw our new cohort bring their teddies (& adults) in for a picnic on the field as they begin their transition to big school.  It's great to be able to welcome them and show them where they will be in September.  They've met Mrs Atkins & Mrs Witherall and had a good look around the school and classroom.

Year 4 Sleepover

Tonight the year 4 children have travelled over to Bentley for some fun and games before sleeping in the hall.  We hope they all have a fab time - and hopefully get some sleep before their collection at 9:30am!

Sports Day Lunch

Today was the deadline for ordering a grab and go lunch for sports day.  If you have not completed the Form please ensure you send a packed lunch on 21st for the sports day picnic.

Multi-Skills Programme

The children have been introduced to the Multi-Skills Programme promoted by Ipswich Borough Council through School Games.  This has been developed to improve children's physical literacy and physical skillset, get them more active and give them an opportunity to participate in fun and exciting games.  The programme also allows children to do different activities and sports outside of school with a chance to win some prizes and keep active away from school.

The aim is to get children active and enjoying moving and doing things together.  Working together with us and the School Games team, IBC want to help children continue to enjoy sport and activity outside of school, which is why they are offering those children participating in the multi-skills programme a free 3-day pass to try out a range of great activities.  Children in years 1-4 will be bringing home leaflets on Friday, which include the free 3-day pass.  The pass enables them to use IBC facilities for 3 days completely free of charge.  That could include the sports centres, swimming pools and so on.  More information will be available on the leaflet.

Sports Equipment Tokens

Don't forget to keep collecting and sending in the tokens published in the local newspaper.  We haven't had many in so far, lots of extras were printed over the Jubilee weekend - if you've still got them, take a quick look.
