Copdock Weekly Update 06/01/2023

HAPPY NEW YEAR - Welcome Back

Thank yous

Staff would like to express their gratitude to families who sent in Christmas gifts.

Also, a huge thank you to Matt Green for erecting our new shed and building a proper base for it to rest on.  It's already in use!

Housekeeping Reminders

The gate opens at 8:40am and closes at 8:45am.  Children arriving after 8:45am but before 8:55am will be marked as late, anyone arriving after 8:55am will be classed as an unauthorised absence.  Please remember if you arrive after the gate closes you will need to complete a late slip to help inform our records and attendance data.

At the start and end of the day, please park considerately and drive safely around the school area.  When children have been dropped off in the mornings please do not block the pathway or the roadway when leaving the area.  We do have neighbours who are being negatively impacted by drivers not focussing completely on what is going on around them.

Smart school uniform, including shoes, is required everyday unless PE kit has been requested.  PE days will continue as last term, any variations will be notified via the weekly newsletter and/or the class blog.  Please ensure all items of clothing including PE kits are labelled.

Please pay for school dinners as they are taken.  For those KS2 children who pay for their meals, the price is £2.50 per meal and can be paid either in cash (in a named envelope) via the office, or via the school website.

Swimming

Swimming starts again on Monday for all those children notified via email earlier in the week.

Request

Could we please ask children to bring in toilet or kitchen roll inners by next Tuesday please for a Woodpeckers project.  Thank you in advance.
