Books!
Some children will be bringing home some books today. We have been celebrating our reading and as we have lots of new exciting books, we cleared out some of our older book stock. If you do not want to keep them, please pass them on to others or a charity shop.

Year 5 Arts Workshop
Year  5 children had a lovely day at the International Art Day at St Joseph's college on Monday. They had a good day taking part in the workshops and performed to parents at the end of the day. It was a great experience for them.

World Book Day
Children brought in their favourite book yesterday for World Book Day and enjoyed sharing their books at a 'book cafe'.  All children should have brought home a book token yesterday.

Autism Acceptance Day
Please see flyers from one of our parents who has kindly offered to organise a morning chat over coffee and biscuits and a cake sale after school on Tuesday 28th March  Please let us know if you are attending the coffee and chat so we know how many parents to expect.

Comic relief
We will be supporting Comic Relief this year on Friday 17th March by inviting children to come in non-uniform for a voluntary contribution of £1 to send to Comic Relief.  There will also be a challenge in the playground at lunch-time that day for children to take part in.

School uniform
Please can you check that the cardigans you have at home belong to your child as there are some named cardigans that have been mislaid in school and may have been accidently picked up by someone else.

Asthma
If your child suffers with Asthma and needs an inhaler please ensure that we have an in date inhaler in school at all times.  If you only have one inhaler for home and school, please ensure that your child has it in their bag every day and their teacher is aware.
A form and a plan needs to be completed so we are aware and know what the triggers are and the dose that they would normally have.
We now hold an emergency inhaler and spacer in school and will be sending relevant parents a letter authorising us to use this in school should your child's inhaler not work, be out of date, or empty.
It is important that if your child does suffer with Asthma and needs an inhaler that we have one in school, or on trips at all times.  If you have not advised us or have not filled in an Asthma plan and form recently please contact the office asap.

School Lunches
Please be aware that due to some salad shortages, there may be changes to the menu on days where salad is offered, This may be replaced by baked beans or mixed vegetables.
