Bentley Christian Ethos and Worship

Thank you to those of you who responded to our questionnaire recently. It was nice to see positive responses about the difference our activities make to some children. Ethos Governors discussed how they have seen first-hand the way children look after each other and celebrate the differences they have within their school.  Staff regularly celebrate difference and uniqueness in a number of ways and the children welcome the different approaches used to best meet their own needs and those of their peers. As a school, we work hard to help children develop knowledge of themselves so they understand when they may need to dig deeper to find resilience within. This may be in their relationships and friendships or when they experience challenges in their learning. As part of our Christian Ethos, we also share that some people may find strength by knowing that 'God is with us always'.

If you are keen to find out more about how we support children to be involved in planning, delivering and evaluating worship, take look at our Worship + Prayer Space Plan We follow the GERS approach - considering carefully the 4 stages of collective worship: Gathering, Engaging, Responding, Sending. Maybe you can identify these stages in our next service ?

Parent Governor position

We are pleased to inform you that we now have a new application for the post of Parent Governor: Mrs Gemma Mark. Her statement for sharing can be seen below:

My daughter has been at the school for the past six months and I would like to support the school however I can to keep improving for both the community and the students. I am looking to bring an open mind to the role and a strong commitment to the role and school. I am currently on the Parish Council for Tattingstone so I understand what it takes to on a board and make decisions. I am a hard working, organised and motivated individual who embraces new challenges. I enjoy meeting new people and trying to make a real difference.
