Wolves Monday 27th April

Date: 26th Apr 2020 @ 7:39pm

Thank you for everyone who pt photos on the learning discussion last Friday.  Molly for the lovely photo of you and your repeating patterns.  Ace, I enjoyed your phone call too.  The 3 sentences about Florence are great and I think you will make a good policeman.  Oliver, well done for practising your letters.  I loved the picture of Florence with the 3 words about her too and the words you wrote on the first aid kit.  Well done for doing games online too. Jacob, thank you for sending me the photo of the rocket, I missed the 2nd night of satellites too!  I miss you too.  Evie, well done for your 3 sentences with full stops and capital letters.  I thought your colouring was neat and I loved your lamp.

So this week's topic is FOOD!!!

Reception you need to choose activities from each section of your topic plan throughout the week.  I am looking forward to seeing the results of your measuring and the recipes you make.  You need to write a shopping list this week and a food diary.  By the end of the week you should be expert at making sendwiches and doing vegetable prints!

Year 1 you are comparing lengths and heights and Year 2 you are measuring in metres.  There are 2 worksheets for each year group, if you struggle to complete both then just choose one.

Year 1 and some of Year 2 have a new reading comprehension for today, Wed and Fri called 'Kid's Menu'.  Today you need to read it and answer sections A and B.  The rest of Year 2 will work from their Orange CGP book p38, 39, 43, 44 'Mrs Samson's Secret Library'.

Year 1 and 2 look at your Topic plan for ideas for the afternoon.  I look forward to seeing what you measure, your shopping list, recipes, instructions for making toast, new milkshake designs, posters, menus and art work in the style of Guiseppe Arcimboldo.

I look forward to seeing your photos on the new Learning Discussion for this week.
