Copdock Weekly Update 29/09/17

Ofsted Outcome: It is with great pleasure and pride that we are now able to announce the outcome of our Ofsted report. A letter was sent home today with a copy of the report declaring that Copdock Primary has retained its OUTSTANDING status!

Woodpeckers: Woodpeckers class have been learning about the Roman Invasion of Britain. We acted out Julius Caesar coming to Britain with his troops on the field and what the Romans did for Britain. We have found how they built roads and how they introduced our number system.

African Adventure: Next week is the Foxes residential trip to African Adventure – don’t forget to pack your bag over the weekend using the kit list sent out previously. All the information you have already received can be found at http://www.copdock.suffolk.sch.uk/serve_file/195831 - don’t forget your packed lunch on Monday and to be here nice and early ready for the bus! Above all, have a fantastic week! Although the pupils will not be able to communicate with home for the week, you can keep an eye on their activities via the blog (website login required) where the staff will endeavour to upload photos and information throughout the week.

Sharing Assembly: Next week is back to the regular family sharing assemblies starting at 2:45pm. The programme was sent out at the beginning of term, there is also a copy of this in the office window and in the Copdock Letters section of the website.

Donations: Many thanks again for the wonderful contributions to our harvest festival last week. It was great to see so many families supporting this worthwhile local cause.

This afternoon has seen our annual Coffee and Cake event for MacMillan – we will report next week on how much we have raised for this worthy national cause.
