Copdock Weekly Update 10/11/17

Tag Rugby: Some of the Foxes class teamed up with Bentley this week for a tag rugby tournament at St Joseph’s College. They all had an amazing experience. Should you wish to view the official photographs taken at the event please follow the link www.pagepixsports.co.uk – Day 2 around the 50 to start!

Remembrance: Earlier today the children held a 2 minute silence as part of their remembrance assembly. The School Council then walked down to the new memorial to place crosses with the names of the fallen on them.

Sing Up: On Monday, Foxes are going to the Royal Hospital School for a fantastic day of singing workshops culminating in a performance for family and friends to enjoy. Pupils must remember to bring a packed lunch and plenty to drink. Parents must remember to collect them from the venue at 2:15pm unless an alternative has already been arranged.

laughSchool Photos: Don’t forget next Thursday to do an extra brush of the teeth and hair as it’s school photo time again – smiles at the ready!

Christmas Cards: Many thanks to everyone who very efficiently got their entries in for the PTA Christmas Card competition. We had a great response. The end product will go on sale outside the school on Wednesday 15th - £3 for a pack of 10, or £5 for 2 packs of 10. To ensure you don’t miss out, why not pre order your packs by emailing [email protected] today!

PTA: The PTA now has a Facebook page, why not take a look at facebook.com/CopdockPTA to see what the latest news is and find out about upcoming events.

Parents Consultation Evenings - Y1 to Y6: We appreciate your patience with the technical difficulties we have had with the parent consultation bookings on the website for these events. If you have been unable to book a slot directly, please contact the office and we can assist you.

Children in Need: It’s that time of year again – children are invited to come into school dressed in their pyjama’s or onesies for a donation of £1 on Friday 17th November. They will still need shoes and coats for breaktimes.

Christmas Tree Service: In preparation for our Christmas Tree service the children will be making decorations to hang on the tree. Parents of KS1 children are invited to come in on Thursday 30th from 2-3pm to help the children with this. Also, if anyone has any suggestions where we could acquire a donated Christmas tree ahead of the service, please get in touch.
