Copdock Weekly Update 06/10/17

African Adventure: The children have returned from their residential ready for a relaxing weekend whilst their washing gets done! Check out the blog on the website to see what they’ve been up to although they will no doubt be keen to tell you all about it!

Foxes - Voice in a Million: Don’t forget the deadline for returning your slips for Voice in a Million in March 2018 was Friday 6th October, however, as you’ve been on the residential, you have until MONDAY to confirm attendance – don’t miss out!

MacMillan Coffee & Cake Donations: Huge thanks to everybody who came along to our event last week – we raised an amazing £256 and the event held earlier in the week at The Brook Inn raised £172 so all in all £428 was raised for this fantastic cause. Well done everyone.

Foundation Shopping Trip: This morning the foundation children took a walk to Tesco to get their shopping in preparation for a special visitor – more on this next week…

PTA News:

Dear Parents, Carers & Staff,

We hereby give notice that the Annual General Meeting (AGM) of the Copdock Primary School Parent Teacher Association (PTA) be held in the school hall at 19:45 on Thursday 19th October 2017, the meeting agenda can be found attached.

The PTA wants to thank all parents, carers and staff who helped to raise over £4000 by attending events / baking / buying raffle tickets etc over the last school year and would like to welcome those new parents who have recently joined the Copdock family.

With funding levels being reduced the fundraising we do really does make a difference, this is your chance to hear and see how the funds you have helped to raise have been used for the benefit of our children and their learning projects at our school.

The Copdock Primary School PTA are a group of parents that plays a vital part in the school community and meet at least once a term to plan our fund-raising events, as such we need new members with new ideas to keep things fresh.

We have a target this year to have 2 representatives from each year group (Reception through Year 6) to be part of the committee but are equally grateful for extra pairs of hands to assist at each of main events. The AGM is the opportunity for you to elect the PTA Committee, to represent the association throughout the forthcoming academic year.

We look forward to seeing as many of you as possible on the night.

Kind Regards,

Laurie Page & Michala Richmond
